The Los Angeles Kings hosted their annual Dodgers Night, with Spanish-language broadcaster Jaime Jarrín on hand to represent the team.

The Dodgers’ Spanish-language broadcaster had the honor of dropping the ceremonial puck before the Kings squared off with the defending Stanley Cup champions Tampa Bay Lightning, who came away with a 6-4 win.

Fans that purchased the special ticket pack for Dodgers Night received a custom jersey with both Los Angeles teams branding on it.

For Dodgers Night last season, the Kings had Chase Utley participate in the ceremonial puck drop before they faced the Calgary Flames. Prior to that, Steve Yeager and Bill Russell dropped the puck during Dodgers Night in 2019, and Kiké Hernandez held the honor in 2018.

Jaime Jarrín attended first Kings game in 2021

Last January, Jarrín made his way to Staples Center to watch the Kings face the Columbus Blue Jackets on Latino Heritage Night.

Jarrín joined Patrick O’Neal and Francisco X. Rivera for an interview during intermission and revealed it was his first time attending an NHL game.

Although the Kings were trailing and ended up losing, Jarrín still credited the crowd for their passion and enthusiasm.
