It has become a bit of a tradition every March for Dodger Stadium to play host to some of the best college baseball teams in the nation for one day.

That will again be the case in 2016 when UCLA and USC will be among the teams to participate in the College Baseball Classic at Dodger Stadium on Sunday, March 6, 2016.

USC and UCLA are both coming off successful seasons. UCLA won the Pac-12 going 45-16 overall, 22-8 in conference and was the No. 1 overall seed heading into the NCAA Baseball Tournament.

The Bruins saw their season come to an end in the Regionals as they were defeated by Maryland. The Trojans also appeared in the NCCA Baseball tournament, marking their first trip since 2005.

USC finished 39-21, including 18-12 in Pac-12 games — good for third in the conference. They were knocked out of the tournament in the Regional stage by Virginia to mark the end of their most successful season in the last 10 years.

Prior to the crosstown rivals taking the field, Mississippi State and Oklahoma will square off in the first game of the College Baseball Classic doubleheader.

First pitch between the Bulldogs and Sooners is scheduled for 11 a.m. PT, with the Bruins and Trojans beginning their game at 3 p.m. PT.

Tickets are $40 for dugout club seats, $30 for baseline club seats, $20 for field level VIP, $12 for field level and $10 for pavilion seats. Purchasing one ticket permits attendees to watch both games.

Tickets for UCLA and USC students and children under the age of 14 are $5 (excluding dugout, baseline and field VIP), and are available in advance only at the UCLA and USC box offices or at Dodger Stadium on the day of the event.

An exclusive pre-sale for Dodger season-ticket holders will take place Nov. 24 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Field VIP seats will be discounted to $15 during the pre-sale. General sale of tickets begins immediately after the pre-sale closes.

Parking will cost $10 and only be available for purchase at the gate on the day of the event. Both parking and stadium gates will open at 10:00 a.m.
