A rematch of Thursday’s tie went in favor of the Los Angeles Dodgers as they batted around in the eighth inning and stormed to an 8-1 comeback win against the Cincinnati Reds at Goodyear Ballpark.

One day after going 1-for-3 in his first game against the Dodgers since being traded, Yasiel Puig followed that up with another 1-for-2 effort. His ringing two-out double off Kevin Quackenbush in the fourth inning set up the Reds to take a lead.

Jose Peraza, one of four former Dodgers in the Reds’ lineup on Friday night, slapped an RBI single inside the bag at first base. Kyle Farmer, Peraza and Puig each had at least one hit on the night; Matt Kemp went 0-for-3.

Prior to making headway against Quackenbush, the Reds became the latest team this spring that Julio Urias largely dominated. He spun three shutout innings, allowing just one hit and issuing one walk, while striking out three.

In four Cactus League starts, Urias has now limited opponents to a .074/.138/.185 batting line. He’s allowed a combined one run (solo homer), two hits, two walks, and struck out nine.

Great as Urias was, he was bested by Tanner Roark. The veteran right-hander kept the Dodgers off balance as he recorded eight strikeouts and surrendered one hit over five scoreless innings.

The Dodgers had runners at the corners with two outs in the sixth and though Justin Turner worked a lengthy at-bat, wound up striking out. Until Ezequiel Carrera’s bunt single to open the eighth inning, Brad Miller’s leadoff single in the second was the Dodgers’ lone hit.

Two walks followed Carrera’s bunt, and they came back to cost the Reds when Alex Verdugo pulled a go-ahead two-run single into right field. The floodgates opened from there, as Jeter Downs followed with an RBI single, Errol Robinson later drew a walk with he bases loaded, and Paulo Orlando capped off the eight-run inning with a grand slam.
