The Los Angeles Dodgers are in split-squad action for the first time this spring, playing a home game against the Chicago Cubs and facing the San Francisco Giants at Scottsdale Stadium. First pitch for both games is set for 12:05 p.m. PT.

The Dodgers have won or tied in nine straight contests after defeating the Los Angeles Angels on Friday thanks to a walk-off walk. L.A. holds a 7-3 record, good for the second in Cactus League, and they have excelled as a unit in limiting runs allowed.

Noah Syndergaard is slated to make his third appearance (second start) and looks to build off of his prior outing against the San Diego Padres which saw the velocity on his fastball tick up to 94 mph, a focus for him leading up to the season.

Syndergaard was stellar, notching two strikeouts over three perfect frames, not requiring more than nine pitchers per inning.

The positive start was a huge plus for the 30-year-old hoping to have a breakout season with the Dodgers, expressing the belief he’s ‘trending in the right direction.’

Evan Phillips, Caleb Ferguson, Alex Vesia and Jimmy Nelson are also scheduled to pitch against the Cubs.

Meanwhile, Dylan Covey is starting against the Giants, and Yency Almonte is due to make his 2023 debut in that game as well.

The Cubs hand the ball to Hayden Wesneski, and the Giants are starting Alex Cobb.

The Dodgers lineup hasn’t quite broken out this spring, scratching across 63 runs as a unit thus far.

Miguel Rojas and James Outman are tied for the team lead with seven hits this spring, both are penciled in against the Cubs. While J.D. Martinez is slowly coming out of his funk as he’s notched a base hit in three straight games.
