SportsNet LA is taking a trip down memory lane and celebrating the Los Angeles Dodgers winning their first World Series since 1988. The network’s “Timeless Dodgers” programming re-aired Wild Card and National League Division Series wins last week, and now highlights the NL Championship Series.
“Timeless Dodgers” episodes will air nightly, Monday through Thursday, at 8 p.m. It begins with the Dodgers storming to a historic win over the Atlanta Braves in Game 3 of the NLCS. After falling into a 2-0 series deficit, the Dodgers took the field in a near must-win scenario.
L.A. responded with a performance that set multiple MLB and franchise postseason records. For as emphatic of a showing as that was, the Dodgers dropped Game 4 and were on the brink of elimination.
They fell behind early in Game 5 but rallied behind a pair of Corey Seager home runs to see another day. Walker Buehler was then turned in a gem, memorably working out of a bases-loaded jam to preserve the Dodgers’ 3-0 lead.

That set the stage for a winner-take-all Game 7, which was a back-and-forth affair through four innings. The Dodgers tied the game in the sixth inning, then took the lead on Cody Bellinger’s home run in the seventh.
That overlapped with Julio Urias finishing the game out with three scoreless innings. It was one of his memorable postseason relief appearances, second only to his save in the Dodgers’ World Series-clinching win.
