MLB announced a new Los Angeles Dodgers City Connect jersey will be unveiled during the 2024 season. The latest Dodgers alternate uniform is expected to be revealed some time between Opening Day and MLB All-Star Week.

The Cleveland Guardians, Detroit Tigers, Minnesota Twins, New York Mets, Philadelphia Phillies, St. Louis Cardinals, Tampa Bay Rays and Toronto Blue Jays also are going to unveil new City Connect designs this season.

The Dodgers were part of the inaugural seven teams with a Nike City Connect uniform in 2021, along with the Boston Red Sox, Miami Marlins, Chicago White Sox, Chicago Cubs, Arizona Diamondbacks and San Francisco Giants.

For 2023, the Atlanta Braves, Texas Rangers, Seattle Mariners, Cincinnati Reds, Baltimore Orioles and Pittsburgh Pirates joined the growing group of teams with a City Connect jersey.

The Nike MLB City Connect Series celebrates the deep-rooted history, culture and spirit of each city that continues to bring the teams and their communities together.

Along with having a new City Connect uniform, the Dodgers and all teams are going to wear an updated jersey design. The Nike Vapor Premier chassis is a part of every MLB uniform — home, road, alternate and City Connect.

Developed over multiple years, the Nike Vapor Premier jersey was engineered to improve mobility, moisture management and fit. The high-performance fabric was made from at least 90% recycled polyester yarns and provides 25% more stretch and allows the jersey to dry 28% faster with moisture-wicking Dri-Fit ADV technology.

Using the latest digital technology, Nike body-scanned more than 300 players to create the ideal fit that is more athletic and form-fitting than the previous chassis. Nike Vapor Premier was first introduced during the 2023 MLB All-Star Game.

Dodgers City Connect history

The Dodgers City Connect uniform that debuted in 2021 marked the first time in franchise history the team wore an all-blue uniform.

It featured a new cap design with “Los Dodgers” in cursive rather than having the team’s interlocking “LA” trademark logo, which then matched “Los Dodgers” written across the chest of the jersey.

The City Connect uniform was updated in 2022 with a minor change to the cap, as “Los Dodgers” was replaced by the traditional Dodgers logo and shifted to the right side in smaller font. Furthermore, the bill of the new Dodgers hat design was changed to black.

For the 2023 season, the Dodgers City Connect uniform underwent another change as the blue jersey was paired with white pants that featured a blue stripe running down the sides.
