We often place celebrities on a pedestal, but when it comes down to it, they are just people like us all. Even the most famous celebrities, actors, musicians, politicians, and even fellow athletes love going to games, wearing their favorite player’s jersey, and watching the action.
The Los Angeles Dodgers have had a fair share of celebrity sightings at their games over the years. It could even be argued that with the Los Angeles Lakers struggling the past few seasons, Chavez Ravine has been the number-one être vu sports location in Tinseltown.
Here’s a peek at some of the celebrities who have been at Dodgers games over the past few seasons.
Kobe Bryant
Kim and Khloe Kardashian
Will Ferrell
Jennifer Lopez
Cristiano Ronaldo
Back in 2013 in the lead up to Saturday’s Guinness International Championship Cup match at Dodger Stadium, Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo threw out the first pitch at the game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Yankees. Perhaps better with his feet than with his hands, he had a little trouble finding the strike zone in what wasn’t the best display of a ceremonial pitch (or two in this case).
Interesting enough, Ronaldo is one of the first athletes to combine his love of sports with commercial sponsorship and brand endorsements, including Nike, Poker Stars, Toyota, and Tag Heuer. His time in Los Angeles was undoubtedly well spent both on the ball field and soccer pitch, creating value for his brand and the brands he represents.
