The Los Angeles Dodgers will be represented by Joc Pederson and Justin Turner in the California Strong Celebrity Softball Game that’s being organized at Pepperdine University by Milwaukee Brewers teammates Christian Yellich, Ryan Braun and Mike Moustakas, and Rams quarterback Jared Goff.
Jamie Foxx, Eric Hosmer, Matt Leinart, Reggie Miller, Adam Sandler and Rainn Wilson are among other confirmed participants. The California Strong campaign, in partnership with the YMCA of Southeast Ventura County, is helping raise money for those who were impacted by the wildfires in California, as well as the mass shooting in Thousand Oaks.
Tickets to the game can be purchased here. Batting practice begins at 12:30 p.m. PT on Saturday, with the game taking place at 1:30 p.m.
The day will include a fly over, food trucks, giveaways, raffle prizes (including autographed memorabilia), a kids’ zone, and much more. California Strong merchandise will also be available for purchase.

While the Thousand Oaks area was mourning the mass shooting at Borderline Bar and Grill, a series of wildfires broke out in the surrounding areas. Yelich was among the MLB players from the area and who shared posts on social media from his home as smoke filled the air.
Turner, his wife Kourtney, and The Dream Center Los Angeles donated supplies to those who were impacted by the fires.
