The Los Angeles Dodgers have their annual dress-up day that takes social media by storm, but several players and in some cases their families as well, also put on costumes for Halloween.
Unfortunately for the Dodgers, they have been out of the postseason for the holiday in each of the past three years. With that has been back-to-back instances of getting eliminated by a National League West opponent.
As the Dodgers deal with the disappointment of falling short in October, Halloween 2023 offered a small reprieve that the likes of Freddie Freeman and Chris Taylor took advantage of with their respective spouses.
Freeman, his wife Chelsea and their three sons, Charlie, Brandon and Maximus, each wore a Spider-Man costume. Taylor, his wife Mary and their two dogs, Charlotte and Hendrix, went as characters from “Monsters, Inc.”
Chris Taylor wore a James P. Sullivan costume, which Charlotte matched. Mary’s costume was of Mike Wazowski, and she paired up with Hendrix.
Yency Almonte, his wife Tori and their son, Kyson, also went as “Monsters, Inc.” movie characters.
Lance Lynn’s wife, Dymin, posted photos of themselves and family members dressed as Frankenstein and supporting cast. Evan Phillips, his wife Elizabeth and their son Beau each wore a bear costume.
Ryan Yarbrough, his wife Nicole and their two daughters were characters from the popular animated series, “Bluey.”
Dodgers dress-up day 2023
For Dodgers dress-up day this season, manager Dave Roberts created the most buzz by going as Coach Prime, more officially known as University of Colorado football head coach Deion Sanders. Other highlights included James Outman as Jon Snow from “Game of Thrones” and Kiké Hernández as Ken from “Barbie.”
Mookie Betts’ costume was of Tony the Tiger, and Austin Barnes went as a taco.
