FOCO released a new bobblehead to commemorate the Los Angeles Dodgers drafting Clayton Kershaw in 2006.

Los Angeles Dodgers franchise history forever changed when Clayton Kershaw was drafted in 2006. The moment has been immortalized with the release of a limited-edition Kershaw bobblehead by FOCO.

Kershaw was selected by the Dodgers with the seventh overall pick in the 2006 MLB Draft. The left-hander made his MLB debut against the St. Louis Cardinals on May 25, 2008, and went on to become one of the best pitchers of his generation.

The Kershaw bobblehead portrays him wearing semi-formal attire but holding a Dodgers No. 46 jersey and wearing a Draft Day cap.

The team-colored backdrop of the bobblehead features Dodgers logos, crossed bats and baseball accents display along with text of ”MLB FIRST YEAR PLAYER DRAFT” and “2006” to commemorate the year Kershaw was picked.

Additional Kershaw bobbleheads from FOCO include a version in this year’s Dodgers City Connect uniform and another to track his career wins and strikeouts totals. FOCO also had a Kershaw no-hitter bobblehead but it quickly sold out.

The 35-year-old has spent the entirety of his career with the Dodgers and extended that during the offseason by re-signing on a one-year contract that includes a player option for the 2025 season.

Kershaw has yet to pitch for the Dodgers this year but is poised to come off the 60-day injured list for his 2024 debut Thursday against the San Francisco Giants.

Kershaw completed a rehab assignment that spanned three starts, one for Single-A Rancho Cucamonga and two with Triple-A Oklahoma City. It also included being temporarily shut down following his outing with the Quakes last month because of left shoulder soreness.

He since has overcome the minor setback and is looking forward to helping bring some stability to a Dodgers rotation that’s been ravaged by injuries this season.
