FOCO released a new Los Angeles Dodgers bobblehead to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Clayton Kershaw throwing a no-hitter against the Colorado Rockies.
Kershaw etched his name into the history books behind a dominant performance at Dodger Stadium on June 18, 2014. The no-hitter against the Rockies still stands as the only such performance of Kershaw’s illustrious career.
He has since flirted with a perfect game and a second no-hitter but either not been given the opportunity to complete the achievement or fallen short.

The Kershaw bobblehead has him in a celebratory pose with both arms extended into the air. It represents the left-hander’s celebration upon recording the final out of his no-hitter as Dodgers teammates rushed toward the mound.
Excitement began to build with every out as Kershaw carried a perfect game into the seventh inning. That came to an end when Corey Dickerson’s chopper resulted in a Hanley Ramirez throwing error to lead off the inning.
Kershaw struck out the next batter and was picked up by Miguel Rojas making a terrific backhanded stop and long throw from back of third base to keep the no-hitter in tact. Ironically, Rojas and Kershaw are again Dodgers teammates 10 years later.
Kershaw then went on to strike out three of the next six batters faced, including the final out to put the finishing touches on the historic performance. Kershaw became the first pitcher in MLB history to throw a no-hitter with 15 strikeouts and no walks.
Kershaw’s 15 strikeouts in a no-hitter remains an MLB record. Kershaw went on to win the National League Cy Young and MVP Awards in 2014. He became the first NL pitcher to sweep both awards since Bob Gibson in 1968.
The no-hitter was the 22nd in Dodgers franchise history, and came shortly after Josh Beckett accomplished the feat against the Philadelphia Phillies. The most recent Dodgers no-hitter occurred in March 2018, when they completed a combined no-hitter during a Mexico Series game started by Walker Buehler.

The longtime ace has yet to return this season from left shoulder surgery but is making steady progress. The Dodgers have planned a Clayton Kershaw bobblehead night at Dodger Stadium for Wednesday, Sept. 25.
