The Dodgers leave a 3-3 home stand in the past as they head to the East Coast and begin a four-game set against the Atlanta Braves.

L.A. took care of the Braves with ease earlier this season in a three-game sweep. In fact, that sweep could be seen as a turning point for the Braves after they began the 2024 season on a scorching note. They were 20-9 before facing the Dodgers and went 15-18 in their next 33 games.

They now rank third in the National League East behind the Philadelphia Phillies and the New York Mets.

The series opener of this four-game set can only be watched via an exclusive Apple TV+ “Friday Night Baseball” stream. SportsNet LA analyst Dontrelle Willis is joining play-by-play man Wayne Randazzo on the call, and Heidi Watney is the in-game reporter.

The Dodgers have Landon Knack on the mound looking to continue his success this season. Knack has impressed with a 3.00 ERA and a 0.963 WHIP, but it has not translated to wins for the Dodgers as he holds a 2-3 record and L.A. is 3-6 in games he starts.

Knack is coming off of a strong start against the Cleveland Guardians that saw him allow two earned runs on three hits with eight strikeouts in six innings of work.

Meanwhile, the Dodgers’ lineup faces a pitcher that no one on the team has seen before in Spencer Schwellenbach. He is also a rookie this season, debuting for the Braves on May 29. He has a 3.78 ERA and 1.116 WHIP in 17 starts.

He faces off against the Dodgers lineup that is led off by one of the scariest trios in all of baseball with Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman.

Ohtani is still chasing baseball history with the first ever 50-50 season. He currently has 47 home runs and 48 stolen bases with 16 games left on the calendar.
