After snapping a three-game losing streak on Saturday, the Los Angeles Dodgers look to close out their road trip on a positive note by clinching a series win over the Oakland Athletics.
River Ryan makes his third Major League start and hopes to build on an impressive outing against the Houston Astros. He allowed just one run on two hits and collected eight strikeouts in 5.2 innings of work.
Ryan carried a no-hitter into the fifth inning and wound up earning the first win of his big league career.
Through two starts with the Dodgers, Ryan has posted a minuscule 0.82 ERA, 2.99 FIP and 1.09 WHIP with 10 strikeouts against six walks in 11 innings pitched.
The Athletics counter with Osvaldo Bido, who is coming off the worst start of his young career against the Los Angeles Angels. He gave up six hits and seven runs in 3.2 innings pitched.
The right-hander owns a 5.00 ERA, 4.39 FIP and 1.37 WHIP with 28 strikeouts against 15 walks in 27 innings across nine appearances this season (three starts).
Amed Rosario is in the Dodgers lineup for the first time since being acquired at the 2024 MLB trade deadline. That’s despite manager Dave Roberts explaining the team views Rosario as a platoon player who will start against left-handed pitching.
