Over the past three seasons, the Los Angeles Dodgers have found themselves in square in the spotlight. They’ve won three consecutive National League West titles, boasted Major League Baseball’s highest payroll and featured plenty of marquee players on their roster.
While the Dodgers lost Zack Greinke during the offseason and didn’t any Johnny Cueto or David Price, they remain among the top attention-grabbing teams. They recently were featured on MLB Network’s “30 clubs in 30 days” series, which began in February and continues throughout March.
The series presents an in-depth view of each team, with players, managers and ownership personnel highlighted in interviews. The MLB Network crew, headed by Matt Vasgerian and Sean Casey, visited Camelback Ranch on Monday.
The episode, which will air Sunday, March 30 at 9 p.m. PT, features first baseman Adrian Gonzalez going through drills, Dave Roberts commenting on his first Spring Training as a manager, and Joc Pederson growing as a player.
Another portion of the episode has Gonzalez reflecting on his first experience in Spring Training and the transition to being a veteran player:
Last season, Gonzalez led the Dodgers in batting average, home runs, RBIs, on-base percentage and hits.
When it comes to elite pitchers in the game, none reign over three-time Cy Young Award winner Clayton Kershaw. The 27 year old shared what fuels his drive after reaching several accomplishments on a personal level:
Other videos feature Corey Seager sharing how he is growing as a person heading into the 2016 season, a Kenley Jansen interview, and Yasmani Grandal discussing his All-Star season and staying healthy going into 2016.
