He established the Justin Turner Foundation and regularly works with The Dream Center and Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation, and is a supporter of Clayton Kershaw’s Back to School Bash that’s organized by his charity, Kershaw’s Challenge.

Turner’s play on the field and giving nature has cemented him as a beloved figure in the Dodgers organization. And artist Jonas Never, who painted a LeBron James mural that drew national headlines, has now honored Turner.

Never painted a mural of Turner celebrating his walk-off home run hit against the Chicago Cubs in Game 2 of the 2017 National League Championship Series. Turner shared a video of his visit, which was captured by SportsNet LA cameras for “Backstage: Dodgers.”

Turner went 5-for-14 with three runs scored, two home runs and six RBI in the 2017 NLCS, which the Dodgers won in five games.

His aforementioned game-winning home run came on the 29th anniversary of Kirk Gibon’s walk-off homer in Game 1 of the 1988 World Series. Turner received NLCS co-MVP honors (shared with Chris Taylor).

For those interested in visiting the mural themselves, it is located at the Baby Blues BBQ location on Sunset Blvd. in Echo Park.
