While the Los Angeles Dodgers are 1-2 over their past three games entering Wednesday’s contest against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, their youth movement has carried the offense in recent games.

On Sunday, Corey Seager slugged two home runs, marking the second consecutive game in which he hit a homer. The following night, Trayce Thompson got in on the act by hitting a pair of homers. Seager went deep again on Tuesday, but was somewhat overshadowed by Joc Pederon’s multi-home run game.

With the Angels and Dodgers tied at 1-1 in the fourth inning, Howie Kendrick lined a leadoff single to center field.

Then Pederson, who was called out on strikes in his previous at-bat, clubbed a the first pitch he saw from Jered Weaver into the right field pavilion for a two-run homer:

Then leading off the eighth, Pederson added to the Dodgers’ lead with a home run off Angels reliever A.J. Achter:

The multi-home run game was Pederson’s second of his career. The first came May 6, 2015 against the Milwaukee Brewers at Miller Park.

On the season, Pederson is batting .250/.368/.548 with eight home runs and 19 RBIs. He leads the Dodgers in home runs, though Seager (seven) and Thompson (six) are on his heels and have also been swinging a hot bat as of late.
