Over the past few seasons some Los Angeles Dodgers teammates have broken into pairs to participate in a fantasy football league.
Last season close friends A.J. Ellis and Clayton Kershaw formed the ‘Kershellis’ team. While the two have a strong relationship and worked together in effort to claim the fantasy league title, they support separate NFL teams.
Kershaw, a Dallas native, is of course a Cowboys fan. While Ellis, who makes his offseason home in Wisconsin, roots for the Green Bay Packers.
The NFL schedule this season called for the Cowboys and Packers to square off in December at historic Lambeau Field.
The game provided Ellis and Kershaw with the opportunity to catch up while attending the match between the two NFC foes:
After arriving at the rendezvous point and fishing out the football Kershaw sent over Ellis’ head and sailing into a pond, the group was off to Lambeau Field aboard a chartered bus.
The group spent the afternoon barbecuing with the stadium seemingly just beyond their backyard, and Ellis and Kershaw were pitted against one another in a cornhole game.
While Kershaw took home bragging rights in his match with Ellis, the Packers defeated the Cowboys to move to 9-4 on the season at that point.
