The Los Angeles Dodgers held their first official full-squad workout at Camelback Ranch on Tuesday morning, which provided several pitchers an opportunity to throw live batting practice.

That group consisted of Rich Hill, Kenley Jansen, Yimi Garica, Dustin May, Hyun-Jin Ryu and Brock Stewart, among others. They faced some combination of Daniel Castro, Kiké Hernandez, Paulo Orlando, Shane Peterson, Chris Taylor and Justin Turner.

Clayton Kershaw faced batters on Monday, including new batterymate Russell Martin, who came away impressed by the early sharpness the left-hander had. In what’s become a spring tradition, the Dodgers named Kershaw their Opening Day starter for a ninth consecutive season.

Some of the mound work Hill and Jansen got in on the backfields of Camelback Ranch was captured by Bill Plunkett of the Southern California News Group:

While the Dodgers continued with their preparation for a season in which they hope culminates with a World Series title, the franchise lost a legend as Don Newcombe passed away at the age of 92.

Weather permitting, the Dodgers will hold workouts the next three days before facing the Chicago White Sox in their Cactus League opener.
