Los Angeles Dodgers announced a maximum capacity of 2,400 socially-distanced fans per game at Camelback Ranch will be permitted during 2021 Spring Training. Camelback Ranch is committed to adhering to local, state and MLB health and safety protocols.
The limited number of fans for this spring is 18% of the stadium’s full capacity. Tickets will be sold on a single-game basis in pods of two, four and six. All seats will be reserved, including lawn tickets, and each pod will be a minimum of six feet from each other.
Tickets will go on sale to the public at 9:00 a.m. PT on Saturday, Feb. 20. They can be purchased online at www.camelbackranchbaseball.com, www.dodgers.com/spring and by phone through Tickets.com (800-905-3315).
MLB revised Spring Training schedules for all teams in response to this year’s health and safety protocols. Among other changes, it entailed the elimination of split-squad games.
For the Dodgers more specifically, that also resulted in their Cactus League opener being pushed back one day — to Sunday, Feb. 28 — and coming on the road against the Oakland Athletics rather than facing the Chicago Cubs at Sloan Park.
The Dodgers will play a total of 26 Cactus League games this year, which was reduced from 30. They have 14 dates at Camelback Ranch, including 13 as the designated home team.
Dodgers pitchers and catchers report on Wednesday, Feb. 17, with the full squad due at Camelback Ranch on Monday, Feb. 22, and the first full-squad workout to follow the next day.
Fans will not be permitted to visit the backfields, attend workouts or seek autographs from players prior to games like with a normal Spring Training.
Camelback Ranch safety protocols
In addition to not permitting fans to attend workouts, protocols at Camelback Ranch will require social distancing at all times, appropriate masks (neck gaiters, bandanas and masks with valves not approved) to be worn at all times unless eating or drinking in ticketed seats.
Concessions and retail will be cashless and contactless, and hand sanitizing stations will be available throughout the ballpark. No bags will be permitted except those for medical reasons or manufactured diaper bags that accompany infants and young children.
