Chris Taylor and Hunter Feduccia combined for six RBI to lead the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 9-4 comeback win against the Chicago Cubs on Sunday. The victory came in the Dodgers’ first game at Camelback Ranch this spring.
The Cubs jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the second inning by capitalizing on Shelby Miller’s struggles. They tacked on another run in the sixth before the Dodgers began to chip away at their deficit in the bottom half of the inning.
Their comeback started on an RBI single from Taylor, who earlier in the game had an automatic strike called on him due to not being ready in the batter’s box by the eight-second mark of the pitch timer. Drew Avans added a run-scoring base hit of his own in the sixth inning as well.
Feduccia’s big day began in the seventh as he lined a three-run home run to the opposite-field that skipped off the top of the fence.

The table had been set for Feduccia by Diego Cartaya battling back from a 1-2 count to draw a walk, and Yonny Hernández reaching on a single.
After Hernández hit into an RBI groundout in the eighth inning, Feduccia followed with a two-run double. Andy Pages drove in more insurance with his groundout.
Although Miller had his share of struggles, Dodgers pitching saw Brusdar Graterol and Alex Vesia combine for two scoreless innings. Both allowed one baserunner and collected two strikeouts.
Who is Hunter Feduccia?
The Dodgers selected Feduccia in the 12th round of the 2018 MLB Draft. He previously appeared in Cactus League games during 2019 and 2021.
“Hunter is obviously an organizational guy. There’s a baseball IQ in there. There’s care for the pitcher, a good teammate,” Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said.
“He controls the strike zone really well and we asked him to try to impact the baseball a little bit more. And he’s done that, got stronger. Looks good physically. And had a really nice day. So he’s going to have opportunities, and we like him.”
Feduccia spent last season with Double-A Tulsa and Triple-A Oklahoma City.
