With the Kansas City Royals defeating the New York Mets in the World Series just under one month ago, Major League Baseball announced the total allotment of postseason shares on Monday.
The pool is composed of 50 percent Wild-Card gate receipts, 60 percent of receipts for the first three games of the Division Series, 60 percent of receipts from the first four games of the Championship Series and another 60 percent of the gate receipts from the first four games of the World Series.
The total pool in 2015 is over $69 million, which is up more than 12 percent from 2014 and set a new high.
Among the postseason teams, the World Series champion Royals earned the highest share with a total of just over $25 million (36 percent). A full share netted a player a record $370,069.03, which is just below the record of $388,605.94 the San Francisco Giants received last year.
As National League champions, the Mets received $16,771,715.82 (24 percent). The Toronto Blue Jays and Chicago Cubs get 12 percent each for reaching to the LCS, while the Dodgers, St. Louis Cardinals, Houston Astros and Texas Rangers get 3.25 percent each for losing in the Division Series.
According to Dylan Hernandez of the LA Times, the Dodgers distributed 48 full shares and slightly more than 17 partial shares, as well as cash rewards:

#Dodgers also issued 17.18 partial shares and 11 cash awards.

The New York Yankees and Pittsburgh Pirates, for losing in the Wild Card Games, each received 1.5 percent of the players’ pool. Each team is permitted to vote on the distribution of their shares.
By failing to advance past the NLDS for the second consecutive season, the Dodgers’ 2015 and 2014 pools was smaller than their share in 2013.
