The Los Angeles Dodgers remain in the process of filling out their roster as they head into the latter stages of free agency before Spring Training begins, and they have signed a few buy-low candidates to Minor League deals.
The Dodgers recently signed Stephen Gonsalves to a Minor League deal, which also includes an invitation to Spring Training. The 29-year-old lefty has appeared in 10 games in his career, last pitching for the Boston Red Sox in 2021.
Now, the Dodgers have reportedly signed veteran right-hander Jesse Hahn to a Minor League contract with an invite to Spring Training, according to Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic:
Deal includes an invite to big league spring training, I’m told. https://t.co/tlo7TcMJvL

Debuting in 2014 with the San Diego Padres, Hahn made a huge impression when he posted a 3.07 ERA over 73.1 innings during his rookie campaign. Since then, he’s trended in the opposite direction, having his most recent positives coming in 2020 with the Kansas City Royals.
Working as a reliever, Hahn appeared in 18 games for the Royals, owning an 0.52 ERA, 0.69 WHIP and a .071 batting average allowed in 17.1 innings.
Hahn hasn’t pitched professionally since the 2021 season, when he tallied 3.1 innings pitched for the Kansas City Royals. The 31-year-old has logged seven years in Major League Baseball, owning a career 4.22 ERA over 311.1 innings pitched since his debut in 2014.
He specialized as a ground ball pitcher, but a solid chunk of his time from 2018 through 2021 were hindered with arm and shoulder injuries that prevented him from extended game action.
Hahn doesn’t have any Minor League options remaining, but because he is on a Minor League deal, he does not need to start the season with the Dodgers to remain in the organization.
Jesse Hahn among several Minor League signings
Hahn joins a loaded group of players signing to Minor League contracts for the upcoming season.
In addition to Hahn and Gonsalves, the Dodgers have added Daniel Hudson, Chris Okey, Brendon Davis, Jonathan Araúz, Elieser Hernández, Nabil Crismatt, Eduardo Salazar, Jose Cabrera, Austin Beck, Travis Swaggerty, Lolo Sanchez and Mike Flynn on Minor League deals.
