As the Los Angeles Dodgers wrap up 2022 Spring Training with their final three games against the L.A. Angels for the annual exhibition Freeway Series, the roster is mostly decided but some players will still get one final chance to impress the club.
Among those players is Bobby Miller, the organization’s top pitching prospect who is looking to cement his way into the Dodgers’ plans this season after being selected in the first round of the MLB Draft less than two years ago.
It’s highly unlikely Miller will make the Opening Day roster, but he is still expected to make his MLB debut at some point this year.
Miller will get one more opportunity to prove he can help the Dodgers this season when he takes the mound in the Freeway Series finale on Tuesday at Dodger Stadium, via Juan Toribio of MLB.com:

While it is a good opportunity for Miller to take the ball at Dodger Stadium, it shouldn’t affect his stock if he does end up struggling. However, it could show the right-hander is closer to his debut than expected.
Since being drafted, Miller has quickly risen through the prospect ranks and has the outlook of a potential frontline starting pitcher.
The 22-year-old right-hander has an electric fastball that can reach triple-digits, a wipeout slider, a developing curveball, and a decent changeup.
He pitched 56.1 innings last year between High-A Great Lakes and Double-A Tulsa, but 47 of those innings came with the Loons as he posted a 1.91 ERA. Miller has also shown a strong ability to post high strikeout numbers and limit walks so far, which is encouraging because he had a bit of a funky windup that was causing some control problems.
Miller enjoyed Dodgers Minor League Spring Training
While the MLB lockout was ongoing, Miller and several other Minor Leaguers not on the 40-man roster were able to report to Camelback Ranch for the start of their Spring Training.
Miller, who was not among the Dodgers’ non-roster invitees, spoke highly of the experiences in Minor League camp.
