Of the Los Angeles Dodgers prospects on the Glendale Desert Dogs roster for the 2022 Arizona Fall League, Andy Pages has been a standout performer.

He was named to the Fall Stars Game and participated in the inaugural Home Run Derby, and on Friday night played a key part in the Desert Dogs defeating the Peoria Javelinas to reach the AFL Championship Game.

Pages went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one walk in a 6-3 win at Peoria Stadium.

Glendale fell behind 3-0 in the second inning but immediately cut into their deficit with two runs. Minnesota Twins prospect Alex Isola then pulled the Desert Dogs even with a solo homer in the fourth inning.

After Austin Martin, also of the Twins, put Glendale up with an RBI single in the sixth, Pages provided insurance with a two-run double.

Pages has a 1.750 on-base plus slugging percentage over 23 games in the AFL.

Next for the Dodgers’ top-10 prospect and the Desert Dogs is a matchup Saturday against the Surprise Saguaros, who have Minor League players from the Houston Astros, Kansas City Royals, Philadelphia Phillies, Pittsburgh Pirates and Texas Rangers.

Andy Pages bonding with Jose Ramos

Hyun-il Choi, Tanner Dodson, Ben Harris, Emmet Sheehan, Jorbit Vivas and Jose Ramos are additional Dodgers prospects who have joined Pages in the AFL this year. Triple-A Oklahoma City lead athletic trainer Chelsea Willette is also part of the Desert Dogs coaching staff.

Pages and Ramos have begun to develop a close relationship during what’s their first time being teammates. The outfielders have been compared to one another and are leaning on each other to continue developing.
