Just as the Los Angeles Dodgers remain committed to putting a championship-level roster together on the field, the franchise continues to improve the dining experience for fans at Dodger Stadium.
This week the team named Postmates as their exclusive on-demand delivery and pickup partner, along with announcing the implementation of Postmates Live via multi-year partnership. The skip-the-line service has been a staple for AEG and their largest festivals such as Coachella and Stagecoach.
Fans now have the option to place a concession stands order through the service and pick up their food at designated Postmates Pickup locations found on the top deck at Dodger Stadium, with no additional fees.
A full-stadium rollout is expected in 2020.
“At Dodger Stadium, we’re always looking for ways to enhance the gameday experience,” Dodgers senior vice president of global partnerships Michael Wandell said. “In partnership with Postmates, we have co-authored the most dynamic and innovative mobile ordering platform in professional sports.”
Postmates co-founder and CEO Bastian Lehmann added: “The LA Dodgers are an iconic part of LA culture and so is Postmates. Having the opportunity to bring our mission to enable anyone to have anything on-demand to Dodger Stadium is extremely exciting for us. My co-founder Sean grew up in LA so this is a partnership that really hits home for us at Postmates. Go Dodgers!”
To order within Dodger Stadium, fans need to open the Postmates app on their mobile devices and complete the following steps:
Browse and select desired offerings. Place an order, pay in the app. Once orders are placed, fans will receive a pickup time and text notification when the order is ready.
Postmates Live becomes the latest addition to Dodger Stadium in a season that’s already seen the menu expand to include Beyond Meat products, tacos and burritos and an exclusive sausage, among other fare.
The Dodgers additionally announced the “LA Feeds Blue” chef pop-up series that is being carried out through August.
