Major League Baseball announced that they will once again be doing Players’ Weekend this year from Friday, Aug. 24 through Sunday, Aug. 26. The Los Angeles Dodgers host the San Diego Padres during that stretch.
Players will once again get the chance to put nicknames on the back of the customized jerseys. The jerseys and hats, as well as t-shirts, are available for purchase at MLBshop.com.
Some of the Dodgers players came up with some creative nicknames, while others went a bit conservative. Among the highlights are “Ferris” for Walker Buehler, “D. Mountain” for Rich Hill, “El Ministro” for Manny Machado and of course “Chicken Strip” for Ross Stripling.
