The Los Angeles Dodgers had an injury scare on Saturday when Tyler Glasnow left his start against the Toronto Blue Jays with a trainer and ended up heading into the tunnel.

Glasnow returned to the dugout shortly after, and the Dodgers announced he left the game with cramps. After the game, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said there wasn’t any concern over Glasnow’s health.

Glasnow ended up confirming what Roberts said, and provided further details on what he was dealing with and his history of it, via SportsNet LA:

“Yeah, it was my calf, my push-off calf, and then a little bit at the end, my hand area. But it’s happened before, I know what I have to do to get rid of it. It was a little bit more humid than I thought today. I just think I sweat so much. There’s stuff to mitigate it, so I’m good to go.”

Glasnow ended up throwing 95 pitches over six-plus innings with nine strikeouts and three walks. He gave up one run after allowing a walk and double in the seventh, ending a run of 14 consecutive scoreless innings pitched.

Glasnow has cemented his spot as the team’s ace and lowered his season ERA to 2.72 with a 0.93 WHIP and 53 strikeouts in 43 innings. He has allowed three runs or fewer in six of his seven starts, and two runs or fewer in five of them.

Roberts also recently gave praise to Glasnow, saying he would be the ace of any staff in MLB.

“I think the next step is the volume,” Roberts said on how Glasnow can take another step forward. “I think he’s also being mindful of being a little bit better at managing the running game. Outside of that, for me, he’s a No. 1 for any team in baseball.”

Dodgers transfer Kyle Hurt to 60-day injured list

Another right-hander on the Dodgers has a less optimistic outlook as Kyle Hurt was transferred to the 60-day injured list to make room on the 40-man roster for Nabil Crismatt.

Hurt had been on the 15-day IL since April 20 because of right shoulder inflammation. His original IL stint was backdated to April 17, and the earliest he can now return is June 16.
