While the Los Angeles Dodgers farm system has produced position players Cody Bellinger, Joc Pederson and Corey Seager in recent seasons, the organization boasts several talented pitchers throughout the Minors.

Among them is Mitchell White, who was selected out of Santa Clara University in the second round (No. 65 overall) in the 2016 Draft. He went a combined 1-0 with just one unearned run allowed, and 30 strikeouts in 22 innings pitched over 11 games (six starts) last year.

White began his professional career with the Arizona League Dodgers (two starts), then joined Low-A Great Lakes (eight games; four starts) before finishing last season by making one relief appearance with High-A Rancho Cucamonga.

White has exclusively been with the Quakes this season, but will miss at least the next month due to a broken toe, according to Dylan Hernandez of the L.A. Times:

White is 2-1 with a 3.72 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 49 strikeouts in 38.2 innings across nine starts this season. Command has been a bit of an issue for the right-hander, as he’s issued at least two walks in four starts.

What’s more, since beginning the season with consecutive scoreless starts (combined nine innings pitched), White allowed at least three runs in three of his next four starts. The 22-year-old permitted just one earned run in each of his past three outings.

White last pitched on May 20.
