Spectrum Networks secured an agreement to broadcast 10 Los Angeles Dodgers regular-season games on KTLA5. The simulcast is the third for SportsNet LA since its inception in the spring of 2014.

The first game to be simulcast on KTLA5 is the Dodgers’ matchup against the San Diego Padres on Wednesday, April 5. First pitch is set for 7:10 p.m. PT at Dodger Stadium, though Access: SportsNet Dodgers airs at 6:30 p.m., and will be seen by viewers on KTLA.

In addition, the network will also air Access SportsNet: Dodgers prior to games on April 18, May 3 and May 7.

Included in the 10 games to be simulcast is the Dodgers’ home contest against the San Francisco Giants on Wednesday, May 3. KTLA’s coverage will also air the pregame ‘Vin Scully Ring of Honor Ceremony’ in its entirety.

Last year, KTLA aired the pregame ceremony to honor the Hall of Fame broadcaster on ‘Vin Scully Appreciation Day’ at Dodger Stadium. That was part of KTLA airing the final six games of Scully’s career.

In 2014, SportsNet LA simulcasted the Dodgers’ last six games of the regular season on KDOC, which is an independent TV station that can be received with an over-the-air antenna and is carried by all providers in Southern California.

KTLA’s simulcast schedule this season will conclude with the Dodgers’ road game against the Padres on Sunday, May 7. Of the 10 games, six are home contests. One of the four road games that will be simulcast is against the Chicago Cubs.

As Spectrum continues to face resistance in securing distribution deals for SportsNet LA, there’s a pending lawsuit the United States Justice Department filed against AT&T-DirecTV, which alleges collusion to block carrier agreements for the Dodgers’ exclusive network.
