With the MLB offseason still in a bit of a lull as the year draws to a close and the NBA regular season reaching a marquee point in Christmas, the NFL is nearing the start of their playoffs. And with that, fantasy football action has heated up.
Like any typical NFL fan, the Los Angeles Dodgers host an annual fantasy football league that brings the team together on a select date. This year, players congregated at Clayton Kershaw’s home in Texas ahead of an Interleague series with the Rangers.
They did so looking to unseat former general manager Farhan Zaidi, who was riding a three-peat. The Dodgers’ fantasy football season concluded Sunday night, with Kershaw and Ross Stripling denying Zaidi a fourth consecutive championship.
As one might suspect, Stripling was pleased to share the news:
Farhan has been dethroned! The Kersh/Strip fantasy team takes the championship this year. Let’s go! 🏆 pic.twitter.com/DZ5vMOczHi

On top of Zaidi having joined the rival San Francisco Giants as their president of baseball operations, he surely will have an earful from his former clubhouse.
While Zaidi’s reign of success baffled and frustrated some, others were all the more motivated to dethrone him. Kershaw, ever the competitor, fell into that category.
