The offseason has been one filled with weddings for Los Angeles Dodgers teammates Caleb Ferguson, Mookie Betts and Walker Buehler, and Chris Taylor will eventually add his name to the group of married players.
Taylor shared news — and photos — of proposing to Mary Keller while in Hawaii, where she is from. Keller and Taylor have been in a relationship since at least 2020. She was among the significant others to accompany players for the postseason bubble.
Taylor and Keller both posted photos with each other after the Dodgers won their first World Series since 1988.
The couple has vacationed in Hawaii on multiple instances, which doesn’t come as much of a surprise aside from family ties. Taylor is has a well-known appreciation for surfing that AJ Pollock detailed during the postseason.
Taylor is coming off his first career All-Star season that led into re-signing with the Dodgers on a four-year deal worth $60 million, but with a team option that can increase the value to $73 million. Furthermore, Taylor’s contract includes multiple incentives.
He reportedly prioritized remaining with the Dodgers over potentially joining a different team on a more lucrative contract. That would support the admiration Taylor expressed for the organization after they were eliminated in the National League Championship Series.
“It’s been a lot of fun playing with these guys,” he said at the time. “I’ve loved every minute of it. Definitely disappointed, but it’s been a joy to be part of this team.
“I don’t know what’s going to happen. All I can say is I’ve loved every minute I’ve been a Dodger. I have no idea what’s going to happen this offseason, but the last five seasons I’ve been here, it’s been amazing. I’m so thankful I’ve had the opportunity to play for the Dodgers.”

Earlier this month, Taylor and his now-fiancée held virtual meetings with patients at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
