The Los Angeles Dodgers and Arizona Diamondbacks complete a hectic portion of their respective schedules Wednesday with another afternoon game at Dodger Stadium to wrap up a four-game series. L.A. enters on a four-game winning streak and in position to sweep Arizona.

Doing so would mark a second consecutive season in which the Dodgers have swept the Diamondbacks in a four-game home series. The Dodgers have won 11 of their last 12 games against the Diamondbacks at Dodger Stadium, and 11 of the past 12 series overall.

Walker Buehler takes the mound and looks to bounce back from a shaky effort against a Philadelphia Phillies team that fared well against all Dodgers pitchers. Buehler squandered a lead and allowed five runs on nine hits over just five innings.

“Just not a very good job of beating guys,” Buehler said after the Dodgers lost in extra innings. “I left some pitches in places that you can’t to certain guys. It’s a talented team and definitely a challenging lineup, but that’s something that I definitely expect to have a little more success. I just wasn’t very good.”

The last time the right-hander faced Arizona, he threw a complete-game shutout for the first time in his career.

The Diamondbacks counter with Zach Davies, who is 2-1 with a 3.57 ERA over seven starts this season. He also pitched during the series between the Dodgers and Diamondbacks at Chase Field, allowing four runs over four innings.

Despite a lingering calf injury, Trea Turner remains in the lineup. He and Freddie Freeman have started each of the Dodgers’ games this season.

Freeman enters the series finale with an 18-game on-base streak, Turner has hit safely in 10 straight, and Mookie Betts has a six-game hitting streak.
