It’s been a busy and eventful holiday season for the Los Angeles Dodgers, though primarily for reasons they’d prefer not to have been the case.

Hiring Dave Roberts was met with significant praise and enthusiasm from current and former Dodgers, and several others outside the organization.

However, in the time since the Dodgers have seen a trade for a premier closer fall apart and the same take place with an agreement to sign a starting pitcher.

As a result, Aroldis Chapman is currently still with the Cincinnati Reds, and Hisashi Iwakuma re-signed with the Seattle Mariners.

Additionally, Zack Greinke made the stunning decision to sign with the Arizona Diamondbacks — spurning the Dodgers and their longtime rival, the San Francisco Giants.

In a refreshing reminder for the Los Angeles fan base to get in the holiday spirit, the Dodgers put together a video of Adrian Gonzalez and Justin Turner coming to the aid of Tommy Lasorda and narrated by the legendary Vin Scully:

Scully is entering his 67th season with the club, which he said will be his last. The Dodgers begin the season on the road in San Diego on Monday, April 4, 2016. The game will be nationally televised by ESPN, with first pitch scheduled for 4:05 p.m. PT.
