MLB Network continues to re-air memorable games amid the wait for the 2020 regular season to begin, with Sunday’s theme focusing on players who hit for the cycle. Their day’s programming highlights Nolan Arenado, Cody Bellinger, Cavan Biggio, Mike Trout and Christian Yelich.

For Bellinger, MLB Network will show the July 15, 2017, game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Miami Marlins at 5 p.m. PT. Bellinger put himself in the record book with the memorable performance only a few days removed from competing in the Home Run Derby and playing in the 2017 MLB All-Star Game, also at Marlins Park.

He became the first Dodgers rookie ever to hit for the cycle and the organization’s first player to accomplish the feat since 2009 when Orlando Hudson did it in his Dodger Stadium debut.

Bellinger, Hudson and Wes Parker (1970) are the only players in Los Angeles franchise history to hit for the cycle. At 22 years and two days old, Bellinger was the youngest National League player and seventh-youngest all-time to hit for the cycle.

His effort that July night began innocently enough — with a single to center field off Marlins starter Jose Ureña. Bellinger returned to the plate in the third inning with Chris Taylor at third base and two outs.

On a 1-1 count, Bellinger launched a high fly ball deep into the Marlins bullpen in right field for a two-run homer, his 26th of the season. The fourth inning saw Bellinger hit an RBI double, fueling anticipation and thoughts of what could be.

He returned to the plate in the seventh inning and roped a line drive into right-center field. Giancarlo Stanton misjudged the ball and saw it carry over his outstretched arm as he attempted to recover.

Bellinger raced around the bases and slid safely into third base to complete the cycle. He finished 4-for-5 with two runs scored and three RBI, and the Dodgers came away with a 7-1 win over the Marlins.
