In light of the 2020 Major League Baseball season being delayed, MLB.TV made every game from 2018 and 2019 available to stream for free. With that, DodgerBlue.com ranked the best Los Angeles Dodgers games from those two seasons.

The list continues with our No. 4 game from 2019, which saw Justin Turner set a career high with three home runs and six RBI in a 9-0 rout of the Atlanta Braves at Dodger Stadium. He finished 4-for-5, with home runs coming in the first, fifth and eighth innings.

Turner gave the Dodgers an early lead with his solo homer coming as part of a three-run first inning. He then led off the fifth with a blast to center field, which sent Dodger Stadium into a chant of Turner’s name.

His career night was capped off with a three-run homer in the eighth inning. Prior to that May night, Turner’s last multi-home run game came against the San Diego Padres on Aug. 13, 2017.

And even with a seven-game hitting streak being snapped two days prior to exploding against the Braves, the career night was part of a stretch that saw Turner hit safely in 13 of 14 games. Included within that were five multi-hit efforts.

With a track record of power coming on as the season progresses, the career game gave Turner five home runs on the season. He attributed the night to making adjustments and benefitting from lifting the ball in the air.

Turner only hit three home runs in June, but followed it with seven in July and 10 in August. His outburst and season high for a single month came at an opportune time as it earned the Justin Turner Foundation a $12,600 donation from REX Real Estate based on Turner’s overall production at the plate.

Turner finished with a total of 32 hits in August, with REX pledging $1,000 to the Justin Turner Foundation for every home run, $500 per each triple, $200 for every double and $100 for a single.
