With the 2019 MLB season winding to a close, the Los Angeles Dodgers begin their final homestand on Tuesday with an Interleague matchup against the Tampa Bay Rays. Each of the next five games at Dodger Stadium includes a giveaway, promotional item through ticket pack, or pregame ceremony.

On Tuesday, the first 40,000 ticketed fans in attendance will receive an Alex Verdugo bobblehead. Unfortunately, the rookie outfielder remains sidelined by back trouble that will likely keep him out through the National League Division Series.

Verdugo was placed on the 10-day injured list Aug. 6 with a right oblique strain, which he recovered from and began a rehab assignment. He appeared in all of one game for Rookie-level Ogden before suffering a setback.

Although there is not a giveaway for Wednesday’s game, Kenley Jansen will be recognized as the Dodgers’ nominee for the 2019 Roberto Clemente Award. Each club nominates a player and one is then chosen to win the prestigious award.

It’s presented annually to the player who best represents the game of baseball through extraordinary character, community involvement, philanthropy and positive contributions, both on and off the field.

On Friday, the Dodgers are holding a pregame ceremony to recognize employees with 25 or more years of service with the club. A limited edition Dia De Los Dodgers bobblehead is available with purchase of a special ticket pack, and Friday Night Fireworks will be themed to Hispanic Heritage Month music.

To further recognize Hispanic Heritage Month, the Dodgers are hosting La Gran Fiesta Viva Los Dodgers. The event begins at 2 p.m. PT on Saturday at the iconic 76 station located in the Dodger Stadium parking lot.

Then before first pitch organization’s yet-to-be-announced recipients of the Branch Rickey Minor League Pitcher and Player of the Year, and Roy Campanella Awards will be recognized during an on-field ceremony.

Also on Saturday, the first 40,000 ticketed fans will receive a Billie Jean King bobblehead. She joined the ownership group in September 2018, and along with Ilana Kloss, was recognized at this year’s Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation Blue Diamond Gala.

The homestand concludes Sunday with Fan Appreciation Day at Dodger Stadium. The team will provide giveaways throughout the series finale against the Colorado Rockies.
