There’s no question about Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Corey Seager’s talent on the field as he already a Rookie of the Year and two All-Star selections to his name at just 25 years of age.
Injuries have been a concern for Seager though as he missed almost the entire 2018 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery. Later that year Seager also had a hip operation.
He returned in 2019 and got off to a bit of a slow start, which was expected, but in recent weeks he really began to regain his pre-surgery form.
The only problem is that he went down with another injury, straining his left hamstring while running the bases against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim on June 11.
Seager was immediately removed from the game and was put on the 10-day injured due to a Grade 1-2 hamstring srain. The Dodgers did not give a timetable of when he would be able to return, although the expectation is that it will be at least a month.
It appears Seager is already making progress in his recovery as he has resumed playing catch, via Ken Gurnick of MLB.com:

While Seager is still likely nowhere near being close to returning, this is definitely a positive step and he has to be excited to get back on the field.
The next step for Seager if his hamstring continues to improve would likely be swinging a bat, and then running the bases and playing the field would likely be the final hurdles to cross before beginning a rehab assignment.
Seager recently expressed his disappointment about the injury, particularly because it is a hamstring. The organization will surely take things slowly in his rehab though to avoid re-injury.
The Dodgers’ depth has helped ease the blow of losing Seager as they have two capable shortstops in Chris Taylor and Kiké Hernandez who will likely see a majority of the time at the position while Seager is out.
In 66 games this season before going down with the injury, Seager was hitting .278/.359/.468 with 21 doubles, eight home runs, 40 runs scored and 38 RBI.
