When the Los Angeles Dodgers 2019 promotional and giveaways calendar was announced, it came with several bobblehead dates at Dodger Stadium already set. Included in that were nights for Walker Buehler, Cody Bellinger, Corey Seager, Clayton Kershaw (June 18) and Kenley Jansen (Aug. 5).

The club since added Max Muncy to the schedule, marking his first-ever bobblehead. Muncy was surprised with the news — and miniature model of himself — prior to a recent home game. Now a similar honor is being passed to Hyun-Jin Ryu, who received his second bobblehead with the Dodgers and first since the 2014 season.

Though, this time around Ryu has been transformed to a ‘Hyun Solo’ as his bobblehead giveaway corresponds with the annual Star Wars Night at Dodger Stadium on July 2. The bobblehead is only available with purchase of a special ticket pack to the game against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Shortly after announcing the bobblehead, the Dodgers presented Ryu with the first model for a special promo message.

As Ryu showed his Star Wars bobblehead off in the clubhouse, multiple teammates poked some fun at him and noted how slim it was compared to his stature.

Last season, Kenley Jansen was the subject of a bobblehead for Star Wars Night in the form of ‘Kenley Calrissian.’
