The Los Angeles Dodgers played the Korean National Team in their final exhibition game before the 2024 regular season kicks off with the Seoul Series against the San Diego Padres.
The matchup proved to be a much more competitive one compared to the Dodgers’ blowout win over the Kiwoom Heroes the previous day.
Max Muncy put the Dodgers on the board in the first with a high fly ball single to center field, thanks in part to the outfield playing so far back. Mookie Betts was the beneficiary of Muncy’s single as he scored the first run following a walk from him and Will Smith.
Team Korea came back to take the lead in the third inning with a single and double, followed by a sacrifice fly and a ground out to shortstop that drove in another run.
Here's the strikeout Bobby Miller ended his first inning with.

However, Will Smith put the Dodgers back up in the bottom half of the inning with a two-run double following walks from Betts and Freddie Freeman. There was a play at the plate on Freeman, but he was able to beat the tag attempt.
Muncy added another run to the score with a double to drive in Smith, putting the Dodgers up 4-2.
That score remained until the seventh inning when Taylor hit a solo home run to give the Dodgers some insurance. The Dodgers pitching staff went on to shut down Team Korea for the rest of the game to finish off a 5-2 victory.
Bobby Miller, Gavin Stone turn in strong outings for Dodgers
Bobby Miller made the start for the Dodgers and turned in five innings, giving up just the two runs on five hits with six strikeouts and no walks. He was followed by Gavin Stone, who worked 3.1 no-hit innings with eight strikeouts and one walk.
J.P. Feyereisen entered the game with one out in the ninth inning and struck out the two batters he faced.
