The Los Angeles Dodgers improved to 3-0-1 in Spring Training after their 4-2 win over the Oakland Athletics at Camelback Ranch on Sunday.
James Outman and Max Muncy provided a bulk of the offense, while Dodgers pitchers collectively bounced back with an improved group performance after allowing seven runs to the Los Angeles Angels on Saturday.
Outman had himself a day with two hits in the game, including a solo homer in the bottom of the second inning to get the scoring started. Muncy increased the Dodgers’ lead to 3-0 with a two-run home run in the fourth inning.
They added one more in the sixth to make it 4-0. That was enough cushion for the Dodgers’ pitching staff to secure the win.

Kyle Hurt made his first start of Spring Training and pitched a scoreless inning despite having some traffic on the bases.
Evan Phillips also made his first appearance of the spring with a scoreless inning of his own. However, it was Ryan Brasier who was the star of the game on the mound, striking out the side in his one and only inning of work.
Matt Kemp returns to Dodgers in advisor role
Matt Kemp spent nine seasons with the Dodgers before being traded to the San Diego Padres before the 2015 campaign, and then to the Atlanta Braves the very next year.
Kemp made a very surprising return to the Dodgers and enjoyed a massive resurgence as he was named an All-Star for the third time in his career and helped power the team on their World Series run.
Kemp now returns to where it all started, joining the organization in a front office role.
