The Los Angeles Dodgers returned to Dodger Stadium for the start of a homestand as National League West champions and with Joe Kelly prominently on display at the left field entrance on reserve level.

Artist Jonas Never painted a new Mariachi Joe Kelly mural, taking inspiration from the right-hander’s famed outfit when the Dodgers visited the White House to celebrate their 2020 World Series title. The new mural is in place ahead of the Dodgers doing a Mariachi Joe Kelly bobblehead giveaway to the first 40,000 fans in attendance on September 22.

In 2021, Never painted a mural of Kelly holding his 2020 World Series ring with the pouty face that went viral as part of an exchange with Carlos Correa. Never painted the mural at the Baby Blues BBQ location in Venice.

Never had previously put up a painting of Kelly doing his pouty face expression on the side of Floyd’s Barbershop in Silverlake in 2020. It drew an appearance from Kelly and his family, who have developed a close relationship with Never.

He has become renowned for his artwork throughout the Los Angeles area, with a tribute to Chadwick Boseman — saluting his role as Jackie Robinson in “42” — among other murals.

Never recently painted a portrait of Clayton Kershaw raising his arms up in the air after the Dodgers won the World Series in 2020, which was gifted to the left-hander for Christmas.

Never’s work at Dodger Stadium also includes a mural honoring Jaime Jarrín and Vin Scully, and top moments from the Dodgers’ postseason running to winning the 2020 World Series. However, that required a refresh as Julio Urías was removed and replaced with Austin Barnes and Will Smith.

Joe Kelly visited mural

Like he did during his first stint with the Dodgers, Kelly spent time with Never at the his new Dodger Stadium mural. The two spoke and posed for photos before Kelly made his way back to the Dodgers clubhouse.
