The Los Angeles Dodgers twice came from behind on Saturday to complete a doubleheader sweep of the Miami Marlins and finish 9-1 on their longest homestand of the season.

Mookie Betts was the start of the day, but the Dodgers also received key contributions from Ryan Pepiot, David Peralta and Austin Barnes.

Pepiot pitched five innings and allowed just one run out of the bullpen in his Dodgers season debut. He was aided by Peralta throwing out Jorge Soler at home plate for an inning-ending double play.

Marlins rookie Eury Pérez dominated the Dodgers throughout the afternoon and set a career high with 10 strikeouts over six innings. L.A. trailed 1-0 at that point and still faced a deficit when the bottom of the eighth inning began.

A walk from James Outman and Kiké Hernández’s single sparked a rally as it put runners on the corners for Austin Barnes. Two days removed from hitting a game-winning home run, Barnes dropped down a safety squeeze to tie the game. Betts followed with a two-run single that gave the Dodgers their decided lead.

Betts continued to swing a hot bat in the second game of the doubleheader, delivering his 28th career multi-homer game that lifted the Dodgers to another 3-1 win.

Julio Urías allowed a solo home run to Josh Bell three batters into the game but nothing else as he got through seven innings.

Dodgers host LeBron James

The second game of the Dodger Stadium doubleheader was LeBron James bobblehead night, and the Los Angeles Lakers star was in attendance along with his wife Savannah, their sons LeBron “Bronny” Jr. and Bryce Maximus, and daughter Zhuri Nova.

Betts and James saluted one another after both of his home runs.
