The Kansas City Royals and New York Mets set their respective World Series rosters on Tuesday morning, with each evoking some memories for Los Angeles Dodgers fans.

After missing the entire postseason to this point due to a chest injury, Juan Uribe has recovered and is one of six infielders the Mets have on their 25-man roster for the Fall Classic.

Uribe made reference in Spring Training of his history to win World Series rings every five years; his first coming with the Chicago White Sox in 2005 and second with the San Francisco Giants in 2010.

Uribe of course began the season with the Dodgers, who entered the year with World Series aspirations. He fell down the depth chart with Alex Guerrero and Justin Turner both swinging hot bats in the early stages of the season, and was subsequently traded to the Atlanta Braves.

Nearly two months later, Uribe was traded to the Mets. The beloved Dodger hit .247/.287/.309 with one home run and six RBIs in 29 games with Los Angeles this season.

Including time with the Braves and Mets, Uribe appeared in a total of 119 games, hitting .247/.287/.309. He last played Sept. 25.

As for the Royals, they selected the contract of Raul A. Mondesi, the son of former Dodgers right fielder Raul Mondesi. The 20-year-old infielder has yet to make his Major League debut.

Mondesi joins the Royals from Double-A Northwest Arkansas, where he hit .243/.279/.372 over 81 games. Double-A is the highest level Mondesi previously reached. He would become the first player in history to make his MLB debut in the World Series.

Not nearly as much of a headline, Drew Butera, who was one of the Dodgers catchers during parts of the 2013 and 2014 seasons.
