The Los Angeles Dodgers Minor League system took huge strides during the 2022 season, and the year has continued for Andy Pages, among other prospects in the organization.

Pages is part of the Glendale Desert Dogs roster and is set to participate in the inaugural Arizona Fall League Home Run Derby on Saturday. Pages additionally is playing in the annual Fall Stars Game.

The No. 5 prospect in the Dodgers organization (No. 66 in MLB), signed with the club in 2018 and has since been one of their best young power hitters. In 132 games at Double-A with the Tulsa Drillers, he clubbed 26 home runs, and in 367 career minor league games, he’s totaled 86 long balls.

The 21-year-old from Havana, Cuba has risen through the Dodgers prospect ranks, and his success thus far in the AFL, could make him a name to watch in the coming years, especially in the upcoming Derby.

The AFL Home Run Derby is being held at Sloan Park in Mesa, Arizona. The lineup for the AFL event features eight players from various Minor League systems: Deyvison De Los Santos (Arizona Diamondbacks), Edouard Julien (Minnesota Twins), Heston Kjerstad (Baltimore Orioles), Matt Mervis (Chicago Cubs), Robert Perez Jr. (Seattle Mariners), Jhailyn Ortiz (Philadelphia Phillies) and Stephen Scott (Boston Red Sox).

Dodgers prospect Jose Ramos & Andy Pages having fun

Both Pages and Jose Ramos are among seven Dodgers on the Desert Dogs roster in the 2022 AFL, and although the two are the same age, they spent the season at different stops.

Ramos was with Single-A Rancho Cucamonga and High-A Great Lakes, while Pages set up shop for most of the year with Double-A Tulsa. The duo both take advice from one another, which helps them bring out the best in their ability.

They take pride in their culture, and that too allows them to bring out the fun part of who they are as players.
