The Los Angeles Dodgers collectively continued swinging hot bats on Thursday and hit a season-high five home runs in a 10-5 win over the Cincinnati Reds. The Dodgers completed their first series sweep at Great American Ball Park and first ever seven-game season sweep of the Reds.
L.A. scored at least eight runs in all three wins to start their road trip, and outscored Cincinnati 26-11 in the process.
They were led Thursday afternoon by Justin Turner, Trea Turner, Cody Bellinger and Max Muncy tying for the team lead with three hits each. Freeman, Muncy, Will Smith, Bellinger, Justin Turner and Trea Turner combined to go 15-for-28 with three doubles, four home runs and nine RBI.
Muncy had his first three-hit game of the season, and he and Turner both had multiple hits in the same game for the first time this year.

Freeman hit the Dodgers’ first home run of the day, giving him eight on the season and three in the past four games.
Bellinger hit a homer in the fourth inning, and Muncy connected for one of his own in the fifth. Trea Turner added an RBI double in the sixth inning and Will Smith joined the home run parade with a solo shot in the seventh.
One day removed from providing insurance with a two-run double, Trayce Thompson launched a home run to the upper deck in the ninth inning.
Kershaw rounding into form for Dodgers
Making his third start since coming off the 10-day injured list, Clayton Kershaw stretched out to 80 pitches and six innings. He allowed seven hits but held the Reds to just one run and kept them off balance with his patented curveball that was key to collecting seven strikeouts.
