The Los Angeles Dodgers signed a multi-year partnership agreement with Advance Auto Parts, making the company the team’s official auto parts retailer.

The exclusive agreement also includes rights for Carquest Auto Parts, an automotive parts retailer owned by Advance, to also serve as the Dodgers’ official auto parts retailer. Additionally, DieHard batteries, which are owned and sold by Advance and Carquest, will carry the designation as the Dodgers’ official car battery.

The sponsorship deal brings Advance Auto Parts signage to Dodger Stadium, plus the use of Dodgers logos in their retail locations and collaborating on community initiatives.

Advance is serving as presenting sponsor for the split doubleheader at Dodger Stadium on May 17. As part of the activation, fans attending either game will receive an exclusive Mexican Heritage Dodgers jersey that features Advance branding.

“Our goal is to align with winning organizations that share our commitment to serving communities,” Advance executive vice president of merchandising, marketing and e-Commerce Jason McDonell said in a statement.

“The Dodgers have a longstanding tradition of excellence on the field and in the L.A. community and their fans are passionate about caring for their vehicles, making this partnership a home run. We look forward to serving L.A. area fans with quality parts and winning service while cheering the Dodgers as they look to advance towards another world championship.”

The partnership comes as Advance continues their expansion in California and in particular the Los Angeles market.

“We’re excited to welcome Advance Auto Parts as our official auto parts retailer to our partnership family,” Dodgers senior vice president of global partnerships Corey Norkin said. “We look forward to helping them further their growth in Los Angeles and having them be a part of the very popular Mexican Heritage Night.”

Dodgers seeking sponsor for Dodger Stadium

The Dodgers recently hired SPORTFIVE to secure partnerships, with a focus on finding the field presenting sponsor at Dodger Stadium and jersey patch agreement.

SPORTFIVE will utilize their extensive market intelligence, reach and global sales network to identify and secure ideal partners for the Dodgers, whether domestically or internationally. The Dodger Stadium presenting partner will include branding and additional marketing opportunities.
