The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation Run sold out to 4,500 runners on site at Dodger Stadium that features a new 5K course within the property and finishing at the renovated center field plaza, along with a virtual option.

“For the past year and a half, we have been separated from friends and family as we worked to reduce the spread of COVID-19,” LADF CEO Nichol Whiteman said in a statement.

“With firm practices in place to keep runners safe, we are thrilled to reconnect and raise funds to support the most vulnerable Angelenos, many of whom endured the physical, emotional, and financial devastation that disproportionately impacted communities that were already struggling.”

UCLA Health, a presenting sponsor for the run, is distributing giveaways to all attendees. Nurses will also be on hand be available to provide nutrition information for runners, sunscreen samples will be provided by their dermatology department, and UCLA Health Sports Performance will provide engaging activities to further test the athleticism of those in attendance.

Medical professionals will additionally on site to provide information about COVID-19 and the importance of vaccinations.

“The opportunity to return to Dodger Stadium for this signature event is remarkable,” said chief of health equity, diversity and inclusion at UCLA Health, Dr. Medell Briggs-Malonson.

“It is so important that we support our local community with education and resources for improved health and wellness – a key part of UCLA Health’s mission. To be able to do that with this race and expo is a wonderful opportunity and we are so happy to be here.”

Former Dodgers players will welcome runners as they cross the finish line at Dodger Stadium. All registered participants for the sold-out event received a Corey Seager World Series champion bobblehead, Dodgers ’21 tech shirt with reflective logo and a finisher’s medal. All-Star packages include an additional Seager bobblehead and fanny pack.

Furthermore, all 5K runners who show their race bib will get 20% off select merchandise at the Dodger Stadium team store this weekend.
