Trevor Bauer is in the midst of an excellent first season with the Los Angeles Dodgers, and he has documented a lot of it in the form of a weekly vlog on his YouTube channel.
The 2020 National League Cy Young Award winner has covered various topics since before Spring Training, ranging from a behind the scenes look of his introductory press conference at Dodger Stadium to expressing his displeasure with Fernando Tatis Jr. for allegedly looking at signs before hitting a home run.
Bauer’s latest vlog is more lighthearted as it features the outcomes of several pranks played on his teammates during the Freeway Series at Angel Stadium. The first one involves taping a “rat tail” to Gavin Lux’s pants, although the 23-year-old quickly caught on and removed it.
Bauer’s next prank was sticking a paper cup on Dustin May’s hat using bubblegum. The 23-year-old initially was unaware until the cup fell onto his lap after tilting his head.

Bauer credited the pranks for the Dodgers’ offensive outburst, as they scored 14 runs en route to a victory over the L.A. Angels. The vlog concluded with highlights of his start the next day.
Bauer allowed only two runs on four hits over six innings pitched with nine strikeouts, but received a tough-luck loss as the Angels won 2-1.
Bauer sends apparent message to MLB commissioner Rob Manfred
In his most recent start against the Miami Marlins, Bauer snapped a three-game winless streak as he tied a season high with 10 strikeouts and allowed just two hits over seven scoreless innings.
Bauer’s postgame interview featured a different look as he taped a paper sign to his chest, which read, “Not my logo. Don’t fine me.”
It was an apparent reference to previously being in MLB’s crosshairs during Spring Training because of wearing an undershirt and belt that featured the “Bauer Outage” logo. He obliged, but during the regular season has worn a t-shirt with the logo during postgame interviews.
When asked if he wished to elaborate or explain the sign, Bauer simply said, “Nope.”
