The Los Angeles Dodgers wrap up Cactus League play against the Cleveland Indians and with an intriguing pitching matchup between reigning Cy Young Award winners Trevor Bauer and Shane Bieber.

Both right-handers are making their final start of Spring Training, but only Bauer will bat in the game at Camelback Ranch. The original Dodgers lineup had Tim Federowicz penciled in as the designated hitter.

Bauer will join Clayton Kershaw, David Price, Walker Buehler, Tony Gonsolin, Julio Urias and Dustin May as Dodgers pitchers who hit for themselves at least one during the spring.

As for matters on the mound, Bauer is expected to go five or six innings. He built up to 90 pitches his last time out despite allowing three home runs to the Seattle Mariners in one inning.

Bauer explained by that point in the game he was merely focused on throwing pitches and not sequencing. The comment was then used by Mariners manager Scott Servais to explain why his team initially struggled against Bauer.

Dennis Santana, Victor Gonzalez, James Pazos, Mitch White, Alex Vesia and Landon Knack are among those available to pitch on getaway day. If Gonzalez enters the game it would mark back-to-back appearances.

Bieber’s start is the fifth of the spring and he’s yet to log more than four innings. Bieber is coming of four shutout frames and six strikeouts against the Texas Rangers. He’s allowed one run or fewer in his past three outings.

The Dodgers previously defeated the Indians, 9-2, in seven innings at Goodyear Ballpark on March 12.
