The Los Angeles Dodgers opened registration for their lottery to purchase a limited number of Opening Day tickets. Fans can enter for the opportunity to purchase select tickets at face value through 11:59 p.m. PT on Sunday, March 28.
The opportunity to purchase Opening Day at Dodger Stadium tickets will be selected though a random drawing process and be available on a first-come, first-served basis only to eligible individuals who completed and submitted the registration form during the defined period.
Random drawings will be conducted on or around Monday, March 29, and winners will be notified via email.
In order to be eligible for the opportunity to purchase Opening Day tickets under the Dodgers’ lottery program, you must, at the time of registration, be 18 years of age or older, reside in the state of California, have a valid MLB.com account, and not be a person who is deemed not in good standing with the Dodgers, or who has ever been denied entry to Dodger Stadium or had a ticket license revoked.
The Dodgers are poised to welcome 11,000 fans — or roughly 20% of Dodger Stadium’s capacity. They gained such clearance with the county improving with number of coronavirus (COVID-19) cases and hospitalizations per day, along with administering 2 million vaccinations in targeted areas.
L.A. County currently is in the red tier, and should the current trends hold, the region would move into the orange tier and potentially yellow tier as well. That would allow the Dodgers to fill Dodger Stadium up to 33% (orange tier) and 67% (yellow tier), respectively.
Dodgers tickets policy
The Dodgers previously sent an email to season ticket holders outlining their policy and plans for admission to Opening Day at Dodger Stadium, plus an additional 28 home games through June 2.
Season ticket holders have the option to select from two 14-game packages, with neither including the home opener against the Washington Nationals on April 9, but instead a presale opportunity.
Premium season ticket holders (Dugout Club, Baseline Club or Home Run Seats) were offered a seven-game plan with seating in their designated area, or a 14-game plan if they are open to being relocated.
Ticket packages will be sold in pods of two to six tickets in order to allow for the required social distance throughout the stadium. Tickets for each pod must be purchased together and cannot be resold in portions. All Dodger Stadium parking must be purchased in advance.
